Let's talk resilience, suicide awareness and prevention ..

your bullyproof life May 21, 2020

Welcome to my Youtube Channel, Your Bullyproof Life. Where I explore how we can bully-proof our lives, how we can conquer the inner and the outer bully by facing our biggest fears and turning them into our fuel for success.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I've decided to zoom in on how we keep our minds healthy - how we conquer our inner bully - those limiting beliefs, fears and crippling self-doubts.

I've invited a number of guests this month to share how they keep their minds healthy.

It is now more important than ever we look after our own mental health and wellness - to show ourselves some kindness and self-love - when navigating these uncertain and scary times.

To me, it's all about kindness. Kindness to self, and kindness to others.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing Liz Murray, follow the link below to access the interview.

Following a 20+ career in the military, Liz made the transition to civilian life and a role in Cybersecurity in the Financial Sector. A natural fit in promoting positive cyberculture the skills learned during her 20-year military career has proven of great benefit, not only in providing cyber education but also as a Diversity and Inclusivity champion, Suicide Prevention and Mental Health First Aider. Liz delivers both Cyber Education and Suicide Prevention Training sessions.

In her previous life, Liz commissioned first into the Royal Air Force (RAF) before transferring her Commission to the Royal Regiment of Artillery in the British Army.

Following promotion to Major, Liz suffered a serious injury in a civilian accident that left her both relearning to walk and relearning how to “be”. She will forever be grateful to the people who helped her to recover and successfully regain her resilience, this experience is used to inform, educate and support others in a variety of forums.

The talk focused on resilience, suicide awareness and suicide prevention...
